StrataXRT is a self-drying, transparent gel that forms a thin, flexible, gas-permeable and waterproof protective film.

In dry desquamation, StrataXRT protects the fragile epidermis and maintains the skin’s integrity, preventing the outmost layers from excessive sloughing.
In moist desquamation, StrataXRT protects the dermal stroma from long term deterioration whilst promoting moist wound healing environment for the reparative process and reducing the risk of infection.

StrataXRT gel is a unique formulation that requires substantially less product per application than typical creams or gels.

Ensure that the affected skin or superficial wound is clean and dry. Gently pat dry as much excess exudate or wound fluid from the area as possible prior to gel application.
Apply a very thin layer directly to the affected area and allow the gel to dry. On exposed areas, a correctly applied layer should dry in 5–6 minutes.
If drying takes longer than 5–6 minutes, gently remove excess gel with a clean tissue or gauze and allow to dry.
Once dry, StrataXRT may be covered with sunscreen, cosmetics and clothing.
Apply once or twice daily, or as advised by your physician. For best results, keep StrataXRT in continuous contact with the skin — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If drying takes longer than 5–6 minutes, gently remove excess gel with a clean tissue or gauze and allow to dry.
The excess of StrataXRT on your hands can be easily removed by washing them with liquid soap and warm water. Repeat if necessary.
StrataXRT may stain clothing if not completely dry. If staining occurs, dry cleaning should be able to remove it without damaging the fabric.
StrataXRT may be kept in the refrigerator to relieve the burn sensation that might occur following radiation therapy sessions.
Consult your healthcare practitioner before using StrataXRT with other topical treatments. StrataXRT should not be applied over topical medications unless advised by your physician.
StrataXRT can be used with or without a secondary protective dressing.
StrataXRT is recommended as prophylaxis (preventive care) following the initial radiation dose. Continue application for a minimum of 60–90 days after radiation therapy, or until no further improvement is seen.
For chronic radiation dermatitis, continued use is recommended until no further improvement is seen. Follow your physician’s advice and the instructions supplied with your tube.
Apply a very thin layer to the affected area. Select a tube size to see how long it lasts for an area of 12 × 15 cm, with application twice daily.
