If a product is bacteriostatic it will stop bacteria from reproducing, but not necessarily kill them. Upon removal of the bacteriostatic product, the bacteria usually start to grow again. This stands in contrast to bactericides, which kill bacteria.
Try to flush StrataXRT out as soon as possible. The best method of removal is to wash out the eyes with an eye wash solution or if none is available, tap water. The most important point is to use a generous amount of water to ensure StrataXRT is completely flushed out of the eye. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult your doctor.
Yes. StrataXRT does not interfere with oral medication.
It is recommended to apply StrataXRT following the initial radiation dose or on first and/or second degree burns.
Continue to apply StrataXRT for a minimum of 60–90 days (24 hours a day / 7 days a week) post radiation therapy, or until no further improvement is seen.
For chronic radiation dermatitis, continued use is recommended until no further improvement is seen.
When applied correctly, StrataXRT should be dry in 5 to 6 minutes. If it takes longer to dry you have probably applied too much. Gently remove the excess with a tissue or gauze and allow the drying process to continue.
